kidding. The first and only thing you need to know is Textures! mixing & playing around with textures in a space gives it a more luxurious look. Design do's you want to implement are:
Plush/feathery accessories including soft rugs. (All available at RH)
Semi-Matte flooring (if the furniture is metal). Dark Wood flooring and white granite give the best looks.
Gold & rose gold metals (for dark coloured rooms); silver metals (for light coloured rooms)
Velvet. Velvet. Velvet! - for years now, the trend of velvet has come & gone, and when used correctly, the grandeur of the fabric reflects in the space it's used.
Paint colours- Black, Emerald green, Aegean blue, Spruce grey. These create rooms of spectacular opulence. When designed right, dark colours don't ever dim a room's light, it magnifies it!.
